Today we went to view the house with our real estate agent, Scott, and DH's parents. We took measurements of some of the rooms, and I took lots of photos. Afterwards, DH and I went to Kudzu Antiques to get some ideas about furniture and decor. Oh me oh my, that store is glorious. While there, we decided to start this blog to use as a place to store our ideas and inspirations, as well as our progress with the house. And just for clarification, we are not yet under contract. We should be tomorrow. Hopefully... In theory, we will be closing in the first week of July. But that's assuming everything goes as planned. We certainly hope it does!
You can see the house in the photo in the upper right hand corner of the blog. Isn't it adorable? Since it was built in 1949, we want to decorate in mid-century style. We both love Danish Modern, but I tend to be also drawn to more eclectic styles (and clutter! Sigh). Anyways, since our funds are very very limited, we need to be sure that any time we spring for a piece of furniture or a fixer project in the house, we do it right. Exactly right...
